Learning 2.1 - Mashing up 21st century skills with lifelong learning

I am having ongoing problems with signing up to Omnidrive. I also had problems with Zoho in #18 and I wonder if it has something to do with Firefox. Does anyone know if Omnidrive (and Zoho) are ok with Firefox?

I've used Firefox with all of them with no trouble, Annabel. I know that doesn't help you much. What kind of trouble are you having?

Jamie, it is ok. I checked Omnidrive out with IE as well and still get the same server message. I have sent a call off to Omnidrive with a screen dump so I think it is their problem. Someone else at work also tried signing up on Frefox and got the same server message. Others have used Zoho here on Firefox too and Zoho have been in contact with me. They think it is something specific to my PC configuration. I have joined up Zoho successfully in IE and now that I have a signon will test at home on Firefox. I await hearing from Omnidrive.

Let us know what Zoho and Omnidrive say ... As great as all this Web 2.0 stuff is, it's not worth anything if it doesn't work.

I am in Learning 2.1 mode tonight and trying to get on with our Boroondara Learning 2.1. While doing so, I thought that I would go back to task 32, Omnidrive. I did - and with exactly the same result. There is still a problem registering. I sent them a screen dump of my problem when I first encountered it over Xmas and New Year and have simply not heard a word since - brilliant customer service! Other Boroondara staff doing Learning 2.1 have also not been able to access registration. The only member of our staff who has been able to access Omnidrive is someone who was previously registered. These sites sound wonderful and an answer to one's dreams, but if one can't register....

Try Box.net instead for this exercise. I have since found out that Omnidrive is no longer active and is probably going out of business. You won't be losing out by switching. The features offered by Box.net are comparable to Omnidrive, if not better. See my blog post for more details.
